| Person, mostly | The wonders of the hockey season: it lasts 13 months. Every 12 years they skiip the playoffs. ![]() Delightful lunch, and even delightfuller drive this evening. Gail didn't feel like going straight home after church this eve, and we ended up finding a lovely twisty road that ends at Marine-on-St.-Croix. Quaint little town. Also, it was POURING rain, so there was no other traffic. Didn't seem to dampen our spirits though. ![]() |

| #1647 of 1960 | I've been lured away to the Thunderbird forum, guys... seems there's a supercharger kit available for my Tbird. 350 hp. May have to take on a MCS at a stoplight Jim, are they marked up at all? If not, go for it!.. checked your gallery, they look good! (aahh, but you've got to lower O2 for the look) Last edited by BartMack : May 31st, 2004 at 04:14 PM. |

| Heading down the aisle | Not quite sure yet, Aiden. I do like the look of Comp SSR's... only they range from $339 to $409 per corner. Plus tires. I would keep the s-lites, saving my pennies for such things as groceries. Thought was to drive the new S-lites till they fell off, then put the alloys on--after buying new tires for the alloys. Cost: $450 or so, 6 months to a year from now. However: Noises are being made about the cost of the new car. They're resigned noises, but noises nonetheless. Noises are being made about storing the "old" rims--a friend has offered to store them in her garage til I need them. Noises are being made about what I'd put on Ollie when I went to sell him--I've found a set of the 15" 7-spokers, tires included, with less than 50 miles on them for $199 US. Noises are being made about the 7-holes I have in the shed--they're scraped up (a little) and need new tires, which will cost about $199 US. Plus, I can sell the 7-holes to a buddy as track rims... for $100. Net cost for new tires for Ollie 1 would be circa $100, which I'd then sell. I've got all the issues sorted, but not necessarily to the noisemaker's satisfaction. The way I'm looking at it, getting the MCS 15 mos. after getting Ollie is having my cake & eating it, too. Allloy rims, even Ollie's old ones, are gilding the lily. Note, however, that I've seen an IB/W MCS with Ollie's rims on it--at the bloody dealer's. They put 18's like mine on the S that I was originally going to purchase. Very looking. Two scenarios: Sell the 7-holes to my buddy, sell the alloys with Ollie, wait patiently for the run flats to wear out & buy new all around. OR: Sell the 7-holes, buy the 7 spokes for sale with Ollie, store the alloys, drive the tread off of the run flats, then buy new tires for the alloys. Now I have to make up my mind what I want to do & sell it to the noisemaker. ![]() |
