| Nice TTs......... | Oops, sorry Martin........ I wont do that again !! LMB, its a 323Ci, I suppose Im used to it being my main car, cos I use it for work, but from here on in, I will refer to my future S as THE car ! Incidentally, and I never thought id hear myself say it, the black roof, with a sunroof, is really starting to make a lot of sense to me !!! ![]() ![]() Global Moderator |

Offline | That was one option I wish we had when we had our cooper, because the steering is so so sensitive you cannot afford to take your eyes off the road for a second. PS,I am not suggesting that we do,but we all play with the radio controls while driving dont we. ![]() |

Offline | have used my mfs mainly for stereo - cruise control nice bonus, but f... all use on the croweded motorways of se England. Definitely get it! PS don't miss having a sunroof (have auto air) looks dodgy with white roof DSC a must too - suprisingly unobtrusive dosen't screw up the handling like I thought might |

Offline | Very cool car. The 323Ci is a favourite of mine.![]() If you're going for a sunroof then I would definitely go for a black roof. But why would you want one?

They look naff
They are naff
They're heavy
Ugly
Are a waste of money
The cloth will sag....making it look even naffer
Did I mention they're naff?
As you can gather I'm not a big fan of the sunroof. I'm paying good money on a pocket rocket, if I'm going to spend any more money on it, it'll be to make it faster not slower. But at the end of the day the choice is yours. ![]() ![]() Global Moderator ![]() |

Offline | Aiden, Definitely think you should go for the black roof if you're getting the sunroof. As said before I think the sunroof is fantastic and if my budget would have allowed I would certainly have got it. Can't have everything I spose If you're dropping the sunroof of course get the white roof, have seen a DS/w in the flesh now and it looks absolutely the biz Good luck with it mate, you're heading for hard times ![]() |

Offline | Spec seems grand to me. I opted for the Auto A/C and no sun roof, seems fine to me, I think it adds to the look with the whole roof not half of one. The MFSW i think is a must, I bought it just for the ability to dable with the stereo while driving, saves keep looking down at the stereo to switch tracks change volume etc, cruise control was a bonus. Perhaps no need for head airbags if your eyes are on the road and not on your stereo??. Leather seats are nice, but as you say need a lot of maintanence ( possibly even heated seats for the winter to stop them cracking ). I opted for the half/half black panther. Looks really cool. Stereo wise, if you want to save a bit of money at the moment opt for the single CD, but have the free cabling for the CD autochange, which can be fitted later ( fitted for about £270 sterling - not bad as the unit runs at £230 ). |

| MINI2 Regular | IMO the sunroof is a must have, it adds so much light to the interior and the interior roof of the car looks really naff without it... Plus there is nothing more enjoyable than peeling the roof open on a clear night and listening to the trials and tribulations of your car Vs the road... I have opted for a white roof and the sunroof. DS/B is far to subtle so i went for the white. Can we stop talking about the weight of the sunroof as if it really makes some huge difference.... The MINI is already excessively baggy so why don;t you go and take your scales to a F1 car... This car is going to lose me my license one day. I LOVE IT!!! Dark Silver/Black Cooper S Chilli Shiny Red Brake Calipers The biggest grin on the planet & the envy of all my friends! |
