Why didn't you even consider Yellow / White Combo for your S, it is extremely rare and very very Racey....

If you're buying a funky, speedy car like Cooper S, why do you stick to a color that almost every car manufacturer uses for their diesel models...

You are about to own one of most special cars out there... Don't spoil it with those dull colors...

I believe people love that Dark Silver because it's new and spcifically for the S, if it was a Cooper color earlier,nobody would be so fund of it this much...

in the John Cooper Challenge, Steven Meli who is leading the championship is driving a Yellow Cooper and it is very distinctive against the Blues, Reds and Greens that are on show

The debate rages... my 2 penneth worth, as I am now 3 days from the point of no return on my options...

1. Chilli - MUST HAVE & great value -17" are free and a better ride according to most recent feedback...
2. Climate Control - not worth it - get manual AC (Jeez - you have even more rain over there than us lot).
3. DSC - got to be worth it becuase a) Loads of wet weather driving b) Worth boasting that "my car has the same suspension set up as a £45K BMW M3".
4. Alarm - UK std(& hence Eire Std ?)
5. CD Boost - free and worth it - I think it is silly to get a auto changer - boot is small enough as it is... also I'm not a fan of "uberICE" - this is a car not the albert hall.
6. Sun Roof - not worth the cash... again we are from the "wetlands" of the north
7. Leather - Hmmm difficult, expensive? never sure on quality of factory leather - half leather free options are good enough
8. MFSW - don't be silly - this is for americans and aussies with long straight roads.. Alought the wheel looms better
9. Head Bags - go for it - saftey is key - they will be a grat re-sale item..

BTW - I am not sure about white roof on DS - as you are mixing old with new - pedantic I know - if you want a white roof then go red, black or BRG... if you want DS (good idea) then go Blk roof....

worgy - agree on the whole apart from CD autochanger. Given boot size is already limited you are not really going to have had masses in there to start with, but the bigger factors for me are: where will you hold other CDs without the glovebox; in interest of safety I'd also choose it; and also for longer drives, I could go through several CDs at any rate.

The other debate I've seen a mix of views on is Climate. Coming from a BMW anyway I'm used to it, but there's also a croed who like it for the look - and I'd agree with that too.

Best thing is the car is a blank canvas to make your own.

As the MINIs steering is so acute this does act as a safety aid in its own right as you dont have to take your eyes off the road to adjust your audio.
