| Nice TTs......... | Thanks guys ! Yeah, black is a ***** to keep clean, it looks great when clean, then you take it for a blast, rise some dust, or you get a shower of rain, or a bird craps on it, then back to square one !! Its a fulltime job, keeping a black car looking good, living in the country like I do, with muck on the roads in the winter, even worse !! Silver is a great colour for the dust, dark silver should be great too, less maintenance, = a very good thing, and a life outside cleaning !! My wifes got involved in speccing the S now, seeing as its her car ! Shes thinking of dumping the sunroof and leather, just going for Chilli, Climate Upgrade, Head Bags, Boost/CD, Alarm, (which isnt standard here, €440.00 extra), and maybe DSC......shes kinda attracted to Red/White, especially if the red / black interior becomes available..... So, Im thrown into total indecision again !! ![]() ![]() Global Moderator |

Offline | Options to choose, things to leave out I got my S 4 weeks ago, Darksilver, white roof, lapis blue/black interior (combination of leather and textile fabric), 17" S-Spokes, Xenon lights, head-bags, DSC, PDC, car-computer, automatic A.C. My recomendation: 1.) Testdrive one with 16" wheels and one with 17" wheels, you will feel the difference, the 17" seem to make the car more stable especially in long curves. 2.) Take the Xenon lights, it's brilliant especially when it's raining. 3.) Don't take the sun roof (when taking a white roof), it looks terrible. 4.) DSC, think about it howver I didn't need it so far. The mechanic grip is great, I can't imagine what speed it needs to activate the DSC. This morning I drove a curve that I was used to take with about 60 km/h with my old car. The S made it with 90 km/h, without the yellow DSC light appearing on my dashboard. 5.) Take the head-bags. It's my opinion to buy as much safety into a small car as you can get. You can find some pictures of my car here: http://www.mini2.com/gallery/persona...?gallery=bonix I would recomend the automatic A.C. if it would work. Mine is freezing my hands to the steering wheel while heating my sneakers to fluid, they are unable to locate the error. I think there is a direct conection between the intercooler and my legroom. I think a SMG as they offer for the BMW M3 (shifting the same way Ralf Schumacher does) would increase fun significantly, however you don't find it on the list up to now :-(( I hope this helps.
