Offline | June delivery on a 911 - that's moved quite a bit in the last couple of months. In July orders for a C2 would have been delivered about now. The only big delay was on any cabrios as there were no build dates for the UK for the rest of the year. What were your thoughts on the two you drove? Any pics? ![]() ![]() |

| AWOL | Tbh i'd go for the Cayman, but thats just based on realistically what I believe I could afford... although for that prospective 911 itch the C2 would do it for me... I was just looking on Pistonheads and theres a C2 on there in guards red for 53k with the right spec... I'd be tempted ... |

| 1151bhp/tonne | Actually, and I expect some stick for this, the more I look ath the Cayman I think it is a really good looking car. I could easily be tempted into one. Just thik it might be time to scratch that 911 itch and to be fair if I do it will be a c2 on standard 18 inch wheels and standard suspension.... ![]() Black to the future.... |

Offline | The Cayman is a good looking car, as is the Boxster and the 911. However if I only needed 2 seats I'd buy a Boxster S (same 3.4 ltr engine etc as the Cayman S) with a Hardtop and still save a few thousand. I dislike the Cayman because of its pricing and false positioning (OPC: "it's not a hardtop Boxster its a totally different car" ) not because of the car. (Unless it has a mad chequer stripe down the middle of it )Had the Cayman really not been a hardtop Boxster and it wasa bit closer to a 2 seater version of the 911 (i.e. more power, LSD) it could have been a amazing car. IMO ![]() ![]() |

| 1151bhp/tonne | My goood mate Chumley has beed using a Cayman S while his Boxster is in for some fairly major engine warranty work. He has been telling me it is a totally different driving experience to the Box due to the extra stiffness of the chassis and revised suspension settings. Actually he has been raving about it. I take your point though. Afterall it is really just a Boxster coupe..... The thing that intreagues me is that it is on a longer waiting list than the 911...unless you want a turbo of course. ![]() ![]() Black to the future.... |
