Went and had a good look at an R56 S as well while I was out. There was a nice all astro black S in the showroom and an all laser blue car. Still think you have to spec the nav to make the interior look complete though.......

The Audi DSG? If so it is very good, not jerky like the SMG on the BM's as it has two clutches. I tried a Golf with it on quite impressed....

Still need to drive an R56, but I am a bit usure about it TBH....

Yep, the Audi version - I've been reading great things about it, but I've always been a manual guy, so not sure

I'm pretty confident about saying I don't think I'll be getting a standard R56 anyway, would have to wait for the JCW - I'm looking at the standard R56 as a good, competent car, but one that doesn't have the character of the old MINI It doesn't float my boat, right now anyway - its just a bit too sanitised.

I guess you might be able to say that about the TT though? Clinical, efficient? Bit quicker though, and I guess a 'bit' less common, especially over here........

Never a fan of the old TT. but love the latest one. The DSG is more auto box than manual so it would be worth trying it to see if you like it.

Funny about the R56 I like it, but dont love it.......doesnt move me like my car does....

Hmm, more manual would be good for me

I do like the new one alright

Ditto on the R56 - I don't dislike it, but its not attracting me the way the current car did way back then, dunno why?
