Had the test drive this morning, really does go well, not mega fast but quick enough and a pretty big chunk quicker than the Cooper, sounds lovely too. That 6 cylinder hummm is fantastic I was really surprised at how little buffeting there is even without the wind deflector, i got upto some pretty high speeds and it was quite comfortable in the cabin and you could hold a conversation. Really looking forward to this now

<--------- excited Brummie!

Congrats Chris....

It's surprising how many of us "ex-MINI" owners subsequently move onto BMWs....

I'm still deliberating an R56........still not entirely sure whether it's the right way to go.....had a minor conflab with DVLA recently on a medical condition, so can't do anything until they respond.

I am happy enough with my R56 although I will have to book it in for some warranty stuff this week. Both J5 and Charlize never really went back other than for routine servicing so it has been a while since I have done that.

Starting to think about a replacement for San's 320d, but not really sure what to go for TBH

well it certainly worked here...

we went from 2 mini's to 2 one series, obviously I had some other machinery in between....

I'd love a reason to change mine, but its just faultless... 19k now since Jan and its not missed a beat, and still doing 45pmg +.... all it has cost me is an oil change and a set of tyres....

Sams 118d has done nearly 27k without any warranty work, and is still on its original front tyres and they still have 5mm of tread

Besides Sham you're in the club too with your TTR
On that front how are you getting on with it?
It's back on my radar again, but I'm worried that it''s quite a big/wide car and isn't exactly the lightest thing on the roads. Do you have electro suspension like Aiden. I'm thinking that could help considerably with the porky weight

MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. It's now TTime

We're off to pick up a new vehicle today

Dads chopped in his '05 plate Transit Connect, and is plumping for the Sportvan 130bhp Diesel Tranny

It's only a van, but still exciting

They only fit them to the bonnet and bumper though which looks a bit odd.... going to have to get some vinyl and finish them off

Its not wide Martin, it only looks wide - how do you think I get it down the Irish country lanes

Fastest thing on the road, a big van !

Im head scratching again - I still fancy the M3, but with fuel prices rising and rising, maybe I should be going back to the X5?

C'mon Aiden, you only live once . Life's too short to be worrying about fuel consumption

I looked at at the idea of an X5 for San, but probably a bit over our budget....
