Merc CLS 55 AMG? 4 door coupe styling - with lots of toys

Aston Martin DB7 Vantage - circa 2000/2001 - you just need a good specialist for servicing

Cayman S?

TVR Sagaris? Supposed to be easier to live with compared to previous TVRs.....

How about something cheaper then a toy? If you're getting shot of the bike?

That sounds like a plan, neil. GP is a screamer, still trying to figure out how to hang onto it for good, and get a slightly more practical car as a daily driver (JCW Clubman)

These cars fall in your purchasing budget...

1990 Ferrari Testarossa - 22,300 miles - £36,995
http://pictures.autotrader.co.uk/img...a?id=640853648
http://pictures.autotrader.co.uk/img...a?id=640853750

1995 Ferrari 355 GTS - 35,000 miles - £36,995
http://pictures.autotrader.co.uk/img...a?id=666716096
http://pictures.autotrader.co.uk/img...a?id=666716106
Or, if you can stretch a bit...

1998 Ferrari 550 Maranello - 38,000 miles - £39,995
http://pictures.autotrader.co.uk/img...a?id=655130595
http://pictures.autotrader.co.uk/img...a?id=655130650
http://pictures.autotrader.co.uk/img...a?id=655130681
If it were me, I'd be really tempted by that 355 or the 550 - I've always loved the look of the 355, and you've got to respect the 550's capabilities.

All the best,
Andrew.

I actually turned down 2 chances to have a new GP at the time, perhaps a mistake. Although back then I really did need the rear seats...

Neil, I'd be tempted by the 335i, 90% of the M3 for 60% of the outlay, even buying new.

I absolutely love Ferraris... I really very passionately would love to own one someday - but I can't say that looks particularly likely with my career choice. Scientists aren't paid particularly well...
