![]() You can put lipstick on.. | The ragtop looks good, but the sheer audacity of the Coupe with the lines of the body and that stubby boot lid and the stupidly stiff body handling from the M suspension make it a wonderful thing, add the 123 torque and it all gels beautifully. If only a 330D version were to appear ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Slight problem with budget.....I've "only" 16k to play with. ![]() For that kind of money I can get a post-Sept '07 (so efficient dynamics) R56 MCS with c2k miles and Chilli pack + some other bits, or a late 55/06 plate 325i, again specc'd up with less than 12k miles. I have seen 330i's but without leather etc for that kind of dosh too. ![]() |

Offline | Congratulations Jim!
And speaking of old classic cars, etc.... I need some help. My Dad's recently bought a Triumph TR3A (link to photo) - his recent passion - but it doesn't really need anything doing to it... it's in show-car condition as is. I was trying to think what sort of accessory I could get him that would go along with the car, but Triumphs don't seem as easy to accessorize as MINIs.Oh crap... ![]() Thusfar, the ideas I've had were:

Offline | Well, we've had a mortgage offer, so our move into the big grey box looks ever more likely (LONG story on that front, suffice to say I advice people never to think that getting a mortgage on a wooden/recycled paper shod timber frame house with a rubber roof, if you're both "self employed" will be easy!!)..... Anywho, will post some more recent photos later, although to be fair not much has changed! There aint no party like my nana's tea party |

Offline | We were messed about something by the Abbey (who were the best rate), they could (and SHOULD) have told us three weeks before they did that Abi didn't meet their lending criteria... Never liked them since I worked there anyway! There aint no party like my nana's tea party |

Offline | What's the general consensus on the Clubman MCS? ![]() ![]() I've seen a few ex-Thorne cars on MINI Cherished that are reasonably specc'd and low mileage for the right kind of money. The downside is they seem to have taken a bigger hit depreciation-wise than the equivilent 2dr cars. My gut feeling is that they are a proper "niche" car and and such may be harder to sell on later. Practicality-wise one would offer a bit more room, passenger & boot wise, so may end being of more use than a std 2 dr MCS. Any thoughts? |
