Washy the HK on the MINI is superb. It doesn't have a dedicated sub but some of the settings allow you to work the rear speakers as subs. For most normal people it works fine - its designed more from an audiophile point of view than a gangsta point of view.

I had HK in my previous 328 convertible and to be honest there was no comparison even though it had a dedicated sub.

IMO it isn't adequate. The acoustics of the MINI will never make the sound good. The HK is £350 wasted.
Throwing money at a car hi-fi when the acoustics of the car aren't right never works. In my 5-series touring I had the HK kit and I could never get it too sound right as the sound just bounces around making it sound bad

Take it from me I know my hi-fi having spent enough of money on my current set up at home. JCW kit money???? That's nothing compared to my hifi

Martin you really are the king of picking the wrong roof on the different colours. First you have a black roof on DS, now you choose a white roof on IB where of course it must be a black roof, definitely better than IB white

Cars are for driving, not listening to music. All the music in a car should be is incidental music as you never want to get too involved in listening to the music as it WILL distract you from your driving.
If you really want to listen to music, that's what your living room or den is for

We're just not too sure if we can trust and have you as a white roofie yet, after all you were the representative of the Army of Darkness. You passed the first test though

Still not too sure about the big black square sun roof covering the white though, you might just still not be ready to join the white side

We all know B+O stuff isn't audiophile. B&O is more B&Q. I'm still from the old skool when it comes down to music. Some of those names still rule the roost. Naim Audio, Nakamichi, Mark Levinson (which Lexus use), Cambridge Audio etc etc.
