If you go for DS with either roof, better get the R90 wheels. With 4 out of 5 people seeming to choose DS, you're going to need something to set yourself apart from the hundreds of others surrounding you!

Mangling LMB shamelessly: Oh I also saw a PS/B S parked next to a DS/W and a DS/B S. The PS/B blew them all away. Trust me mate, I've got excellent taste (and am highly biased, see below) get your S in something--anything--else, you won't regret it.

Id love the R90s, but the prices is a little scary I must admit !!

Get the stipes factory fitted, instead of getting R90's go could get a set of nice BBS's

How could a PS blend in with the rest of the Coopers when there are (1) so few MINIs compared to the rest of the flotsam on the highways and (2) every MCS I've seen on the road is EB or DS.

Pick the color you want. Having a hole in the snout makes it stand out from the Coopers.

AND, having something other than EB or DS will make it stand out from the average MCS. See bias below...

But your forgetting three things:[list=1][*]He lives in Ireland, not USA[*]As such there are alot more Coopers on the road compared to MCS[*]And one of the most popular colours people get their Cooper in is PS/Black[/list=1]

...but I'll agree with you on one thing, he should get the colour he wants.

There arent a lot of MINIs here at all, thankfully.......only about 150 sold in the fisrt 3 months of this year, I havent seen recent sales figures, but I doubt it will be any more pro-rata........thay are fairly exclusive here, and that figure includes ONEs and Coopers.....

Im sure there will be even less Ss sold......goody for me!!!

I think it will be DS/W anyway........

LMB is right about the number of PS/B Coopers around......the colour poll thread indicates that that combo is incredibly popular in the UK, Ireland, and indees everywhere......

Its gonna be wet and crappy though, not ideal conditions unfortunately, but I hope the S will make up for it !!

You really have to put all of this colo(u)r nonsense in perspective. If the new MINI were sold only in flat primer gray(grey) with no options, so that your MINI would be identical to MY MINI, we'd still be driving something unique.
