I was talking to my neighbour the other day about rotating tyres (he's owns a Rover dealership ) and he said it just isn't worth rotating tyre's because of this reason. He made a very good point and said it'll be easier replacing two tyres at a time rather then all four if you rotated them and got even wear. At £120 per corner he's not wrong

not driven it yet Martin, only just finished the job, but the good thing I see about doing it is, yes I do need to start thinking about new tyres now, will get maybe 1000 out the rears, they will be replaced first (for whatever I find out to be the bet option).

Then in the mean time I should get about 3000 out of the fronts, before replacing and matching up with the backs. So spreads the cost, and gets a bit more use out of those before matching them up.

If there had been a cost involved in Rotating then yes I might not have been worth it, but seeing as I did it myself, was worth it I think

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

Grip is King..........Our MINI does so few miles, I'd like sticky tyres in preference to longevity any day.......

Are we going to have a party for post No. 10,000 in here?

Ride, grip and cheaper at about £100 per corner....not to mention lighter than a runflat too

Washy the RFs are not always heavier than non RFs.

In another thread I went through some spec of tyres and RFsare actually lighter than the rest.

going to do some searching.
