I'm still considering going the CR route too as I think DS maybe too popular, but I still have yet to see a privately owned S on the road  Coming to think of it I hardly see any MINIs  MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. As I have a September build I will be getting a 2003 model and I think that's got more options e.g. dashboard choice of silver or pantana. I'm not sure which to go for now? Offline | Don't know excatly at which stage it's no longer possible to change spec. But I would count on at least four weeks before ETA at your dealers. Isn't the 'new' silver dash the same as the one which comes currently standard on the Cooper? I would defo go for the alloy patina then PS Wanna swap steering wheels? |

Offline | Just got off the phone with my dealer, he didn't even know there is a 2003 model  He's going to find out more information for me but I think I'm going to phone their main showroom as they are more clued up. I need to seee the pantina trim again before I decide as I recall I do like it but it has a matt finish which I might be put off by Steering wheel swap? I would love too but I don't think a RHD wheel is the same as LHD MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. It's now TTime Unofficial MINI2.com bean counter |

Not to sure about the roof colour though To finally settle things once and for all, I do really like the white roof too, but after having one on my Cooper I feel it's time for a change. ...and besides it's the first part of the car that looks the dirtiest the quickest. I'm fed up of looking at a non-virgin white roof so soon after cleaning it MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. It's now TTime Unofficial MINI2.com bean counter |

Offline |  Time to change is almost over I just spoke to my dealer and I've got just over a week left to change my spec. so that makes 6 weeks before build date. I think that's a good thing as it stops me having doubts about my colour choice and spec. So anyone who is going to try and swing me in a different direction you've got a week to do so Funny thing though is that although I have been confirmed as getting a 2003 model with the new sports steering wheel I do not have an option of the silver trim I would have gone with pantina anyhow but it would be nice to have the choice I'm signing on the dotted line on Saturday so please let me know if I've missed anything obvious from my spec: Dark Silver Black Roof/Mirrors (will probably get the chrome jobbies later) Heated washers/mirrors Chilli Pack Sunroof Trip Computer CD/Boost DSC Full Black Leather Heated seats Climate control DSC 1st aid/Triangle MFSW 63 days still to go MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. Offline | It is isn't it I thought I'd better cover all bases to be on the safe side and besides I plan to keep this car a long time, or until I get fed up of the black roof My dealer also informed me about the visibilty package which is still a no goer and the HK although been given an ETA of December for us not to hold our breath on that either MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those.............
