It does limit the colour options for the roof.

I still want to know if there will be a hardtop. The 3 series hardtop is so well designed it takes a while to realise it's an add on to a convertible even when you're peering at it.

I think the repayments on the old model, while you play with the new model, can be quite expensive - about 50% of everything I own, I believe......

Nip/Tuck..............

I don't really think main beam xenon is really necessary. Normal lights are fine for that

I Want This.

OK. Here's a question for any of you with inside connections at MINI. How, when, and/or where can I get this steering badge? It rocks my world. I know it was a developmental thing, but what has been made once can be made again.

I had a look at an SL55 AMG at the local Merc dealer last week....almost considered trading in everything including the house for one.....but changed my mind in the end

Still not sure about the MINI convertible. I wonder what the S version will be like?

Nothing else to report as yet

I like the Cooper as it is now...I think they are going to far with the convertible/facelift.

I was underwhelmed with the convertibles in Paul's extensive launch news section. I think there are too many rear views that are downright ugly - and as the hardtop MINI is unusally gorgeous looking for a car it's a big change.

I keep getting the feeling there really isn't enough room for all the stuff that needs to be fitted in.

And I think you'd be brave to put the top down doing 60!! (I must have read that wrong - my old convertible couldn't have the top down if the car was in motion?)
