Offline | blue black half leather looks good but to be honest I've just gone through the exact same delemma myself. Full leather is full leather I think after much deliberation this IS the way forward. If you've already got a chilli pack it's only an upgrade price & I think it's good value. thats my opinon anyway, hope it helps! ![]() |

Offline | I had the half leather blue/black with my Chii car. Originally the computer had me down for full leather as half leather wasn't available back in March, but I changed it earlier in the summer. Thought the full leather might be a bit too slippy in the tight bends. Big mistake. Now really wish I'd stuck with the full leather. In just a fortnight, both cloth seats are marked - one by the dealer, one by me - and stubbornly resist all attempts to shift the marks. Mine was caused by nice greasy leather conditioner - don't know what the dealership did to mark the other seat, but it hardly seems worth making a fuss over one seat when the other was my fault. And we're about to have a baby to vomit all over the back seats. Next time, I will pick full leather. Ordered my "S" August '01. Arrived July '02. EB with white roof, wheels and stripes, Chili pack, DSC and climate control. Hate those 17" runflats though. Can now be seen all over the West Midlands, as a blue blur passing everything at speed |

Offline | It's occurred to me lately that with 5700 miles on the MCS, I think the music's been on for only 4 or 5 hours! The sound of the S at work is plenty entertaining. The exhaust note's fine, but the blower is the real star. Steve Cooper S: Pure silver/black, Premium, Sport, Black leatherette, 17" R90, 4/19 build, 5/24 delivery. |

Offline | Are there any other pictures of a Red/white S with both stripes and the light kit? That's the first one I recall seeing, and it's what we're getting. More, please. ![]() '03 Cooper S Chili Red/White, Sport Pack, Rally Lights, HK sound (Estimated build date 12/6/02) '02 WRX Wagon (24,000 miles in 12 months) '90 VW Corrado (180,000 miles in 12 years) |

| Nice TTs......... | Yeah, its crap smiffy, really raw deal for us.......I always laugh when I hear people in the UK complain about car prices !! Only thing we have is cheap petrol ! Sealevel, I really think that engine is the best sounding powerplant around - you can keep your V8s and V12s ! Guys, Im getting kinda spooked about the potential cost of my car.......what do you think should be the absolute basic S specification?? I only have the Cooper 4 months, and Im thinking maybe the cost would be exorbitant to change so soon......around € 14,000.00, say £ 8,500.oo sterling to go for my proposed spec........what do you think? ![]() Global Moderator |

Offline | I have manual aircon, 17" S-spokes and 1/2 leather satelites. MFSW comes standard in the Netherlands. I was a bit hampered by my lease budget though. My fave spec would have been DSC, chili pack and sunroof (and DS/w of course ) |

![]() Toon Toon.. | I think it would be really cool to buy just a standard S........and nothing. ![]() Believe it or not I really like the space cloth seats now. In the pictures they looked pants but they've really grown on me as have the X-lites.To me a basic S is the way to go. It's every bit a Cooper S, if not more, than a fully loaded one.At the end of the day the handling and the 163BHP come as standard. ![]() Global Moderator ![]() |

Offline | I'm not terribly rational myself when it comes to money, but I'll pretend to be for your sake. You've already got a great car don't you? Is a bit of extra horsepower and a hole in your bonnet really worth the extra financial strain? Last edited by Sejanus : Jul 26th, 2002 at 02:10 AM. |
