Don't say that... I'm trying to keep my S to around £16.5k so I can chuck it on the mortgage!

LOL, have you got one of those open plan mortgages with a cheque book and credit card
Very dangerous those, but then again you can borrow at money at the standard mortgage rate

MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. It's now TTime

I can see the benefits of that type of mortgage...but they can be very dangerous...not suited to my cautious accounting mind...Nice straight repayment for me...

I've got a repayment "open plan" mortgage.
Fixed rate for 5 years at 4.29% which I think is superb
Best benifits are is that you can "over pay" or "pay off" the principle up to 10% per year with no penalty

Dom I hope you haven't got a endowment mortgage. They're a minefield
I've been lucky with my previous one as I've broken even but that does include the shares I got
I've now cut my losses on that one and gone for a straight repayment

MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. It's now TTime

3.59% fixed for two years

It's not open plan as such, but I can make over/under payments up to £500 a month

I've made 10k on the property since I reserved it in December so was thinking that could fund some of my S

btw... nationwide has reduced rates again... 5 year fixed at 4.09%

Feck
Too late now to change my mortgage again, I'm too close to completion I've change it 3 times already since I started to arrange the loan.
This is almost as bad as me swapping my MINI spec. Can't we do anything first time off

Yep !

To address some other matters discussed here today, I always use Sun Liquid Cream in our dishwasher, and the other dishwasher is partial to a Bombay and Tonic !

Mortgages, fixed at 4.85% 4 years ago, 1 year to run, I could get 3.3% at the moment !
