Offline | Let me get this right, you have a B/F that drives a Hyundai!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chuck him for goodness sake, before you know it he will be off to the local Bowling Club with his blazer and white jumper. Tell him if he doesn't sell it and by a Hartage or Works MCS then he is toast! Or more appropriately tell him you'll leave him "High Un Dry"!!Last edited by No Golf Clubs at all : Aug 18th, 2003 at 07:01 PM. |

| Men! - Why do they all think that they are Gods of the road? I've had a very similar problem wih Mr K. The first time he came out in the MCS he sat there and said "you're driving very carefully..." (read, "why are you pottering around like an old man?") - and at this point you have to bear in mind that I had just had a very stressful few hours trying to purchase said car and was slightly worried about not getting home in one piece. Second time he came out with me (after I was used to the handling of the car and totally not stressed) he sat there white knuckled clinging onto his seat saying "will you selection of swear words slow down" Which is a bit rich coming from someone who had recently driven into the back of another car......on a straight road...... So Heffer you're not alone here, and you have two options: 1 - Dump him 2 - Never let him in your car, ever again Although if you go for option 2 just remember never get in his car either, someone might recognise you K. |

Offline | Thank you all for your sound advice. I think the only solution is to not let him in my car again, as he does have his uses... . I would like to point out though, that he did not have the offending Accent when I met him, but drove a Subaru Imprezza jobbie, which was quite pleasing.... then, once he had his hooks into me he got rid of it and purchased the, wait for it, 1.3 (!!!) pension collection vehicle.... and he is only 28.... Oh well!!! ![]() |

| UberGeek | Mine doesn't. She doesn't say diddly when I'm nailing my MC. She'll borrow the MC at any opportunity. She nails it harder than I do (good job the CVT box auto-upshifts at the redline, but then I think she does that deliberately!) All this from the girl that gets her very large and heavy RWD Explorer[1] sideways in the wet on roundabouts... Lee [1] Soon to go, replacing with a VW Golf. No MINI for her? No, thats because she works for VW... |

Offline | No, the boyfriend has NOT and will never drive my darling MCS - he didn't let me drive the Roo!! The spare key lives at my Mummy's house and I take the other one to work with me every day just in case he gets tempted..... Not that I don't trust him, you understand, I just don't think he would be able to cope with the sheer wonderfulness if I did ever let him drive..... ![]() |

Offline | No pics yet - I am not digitally equipped yet!!! Went out in my lovely MCS last night with offending boyfriend.... got half way to our destination and it looked like rain so I turned round, put car back in his lovely warm garage and went in the Accent instead..... Car stayed dry and I managed to force down 3 cans of Stella!! So, the Accent has come in handy after all!!! ![]() |

Offline | He is a vision in BRG/W with lovely white stripes, Panther black leather , H/K, CD Changer and Chili pack.... and plenty of fly splats! He really is the most beautiful thing in the world (apart from all those other MINIs out there) and I am getting quite emotional just thinking about him ! |
