At last she's here at home with me! I picked up my '03 CR/W loaded MCS from Keeler Motor Cars in Albany, NY this morning. A very pleasant experience with the dealer and with the ride back to Syracuse. We motored up into the Adirondacks in search of twisties and no civilization and found both. What a blast this car is!! It's like kismet; we were meant for each other, we fit so well. And she seems to anticipate what I want to do next. A mutual love affair between man and car? Poor baby took a beating from all the bugs that sacrificed themselves on her, though. But I washed her gently with P21S after a little cool-down time. I learned too the importance of turning off the AC for better lift-off in 1st gear. And what breaks! I have the GPS Nav system too - what fun that option is. No need for maps; just drive. Give the system a destination, tell it to keep you off the highways and a pleasant female voice gives you timely directions. It's great! She even gave me a pleasant warning about making a u-turn in the middle of Rte. 8. All in all, I couldn't be much happier. I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't have one. One thing though bothers me - the ignition seems to skip slightly in 5th gear during acceleration or when pulling up a hill. Anyone else notice this?

Yay! A Syracuse MINI meet will have to take place someday. (I don't know if you saw a previous post of mine, but the husband and I are from Syracuse). Right after we pick ours up on Friday, we're heading up north to go camping. Pick-up timed perfectly for a nice, long, scenic drive (although it will be fun to see how the camping gear fits).

congrats - great choice.

And similar to me on two counts. I had a Boxster S on order earlier this year but had to pull out for financial reasons caused by a client going bust.

And a CR/W MCS here too!

I ordered mine on the 15/7 and im still got atleast 2 weeks to go! That is a quick turnaround!

Hi snidley274, excellent choice going with the CR/W MCS. I picked up mine aug 22nd. I've had similar experiences driving it but failed to notice the ignition skipping you mentioned.

I have not yet bought my MINI. I have wanted one since I was very young, and I finally can afford one, however, can you get them fixed easily in Syracuse, or do you have to bring it to the dealership in Albany or Buffalo to get it fixed?
