Does anyone know if the only reason there is no BMW tow bar for the 'S' because of the centre exiting tail pipes.....or is there another reason??? I am looking to tow a dog trailer which is very light....any ideas.

There is supposed to be a towing hitch solution available in Fall of this year (for the S as well) from a company called Mini Fini http://minifini.com

According to their website their products are only available at MINI dealerships.

No reason why you shouldnt go for a different exhaust? twin spread to either side of the car like Hamman version , then no prob., but maybe the ironmongery can fit below the standard set up?

I know there is a version out there that works. Unfortunatly I was not able to find it again in history since it has been a very long time since seeing it posted.

The good news is that there is one out there.... the bad news is finding it again! I'll keep looking.....

It might be Rog G's posts from around about march 2002 and then Dec 2002 which has a picture of his tow bar coming throught the reverse light.....very clever. I have read though comments about EU directives re the S towing at all....we are at the dealership tomorrow, we'll see if the chaps in the workshop can shed any light on it all.
