I Found a Dent

Whilst washing my cooper s for the first time at the weekend i noticed a small dent in the bonnet just above the scoop!

I rang my dealer this a.m. and they said drop it round and when they saw it they agreed to have it repaired and have arranged for a specialist dent repairer to come to my work and fix it in the car park.

I thought that this was pretty good service as i was worried that now i have the car they would be dismissive of my problem but far from it!

The Whitehouse Group, Bromley come with my recomendations

BTW the car is everything i expected and more!!

A Nightmare! Dealer told me 4000rpm for 100miles which is a real chore! Then i read the handbook and it says 4500rpm - u will be surprised at how much difference that makes!

Picked it up last wednesday and i am on 400 miles and will be going out in a mo as well

Hate to drag out the nightmare, but I think it's 4,500rpm for 1,250 miles, not 100!!

My MCS is due to be delivered on Friday...I'm going bananas!!!

It's 4500rpm for 1250 miles. Then GRADUALLY increase from there!

Main thing is the first few hundred miles, for tyres, brakes, clutch etc. Then, just vary rpms and speeds, ie. don't stay at 70mph in 5th on the motorway for the whole of the 1250 miles! Going over 4500 now and again won't do it any harm either

Yup that's my understanding. (750 miles and counting!)

I know what you mean - I had one go past me at a junction and I worried the hell out of him but joining his tail a few moments later. (It was only the 180bhp model so it's a bit mean but fun!)

Can only guess what having the extra 4500-7000 rpm range will add to the enjoyment!

Dent gone

The guy came round earlier than expected and it took him 15 mins to remove the small dent with his special magnetic gadget!

Dont know how much it cost as the dealer is footing the bill but im very happy with the result.

I met a TT at 1243 Miles. Decided to risk it. Bye Bye TT, and didn't take too long either.
Oh but the downside is Bye Bye petrol!

LOL - that's exactly the problem I have. My kind wife helps me out during the day by taking it to work, so I can get everything else done (such as post on MINI2!) . There really is something addictive about MINIs - I've never even considered modding any of my previous cars. My 330 Convertible got a wash every few months if it was lucky. Now I'm spending time on car cleaning websites spending money on all sorts of Meguiars stuff and planning add-ons for the car!

Mad.

But fun - esp when you belt past a "too cool for school" TT

and its so annoying that the build up to 1250 miles goes soooo slow then suddenly im at 2000 :-)
