Offline | mcs jcw cost I am having this recurring dream where I order my next mini, I trade in my 03 cr/w coop and opt for an 04 ds/w mcs, jcw with no other options, save for some white bonnet stripes. Will fit my own CD to the wave unit. So the wheels are stock, not sure if I even get a glove box! Trouble is I love aircon, I want the MSFW and the Xenons and I love the look of the rear and side aero kits. However the toys are nice and I am trying to focus on what is important performance wise. I guess that if this dream ever turns to reality I could get the things on it that I can't retrofit (economically) , a/c, mfsw and get the aero bits fitted when the funds recover. I wonder if there are many "skinflint" JCW cooper s's out there with no chilli pack e.t.c. Is it a mad thing for me to do? will resale of the car be significantly affected. |

Offline | Think once I work out how to do it, I will repost like AidenL's recent "which pack does your Cooper have?" but make it for an MCS. This may sway my decision when I put the order in for the MCS next year. However, if a JCW MCS does not have a Chilli pack would it affect resale....I kind of doubt it, my thinking is if you want performance you aint going to be too bothered about passenger height adjustment or any of the other "niceities". (Xenons maybe, 17s Spokes less maybe, manual A/C more maybe?). What do I know? in fact as Paul alludes to above, could be that the stripped down lighter version is the way to go! |
