Offline | Cooper At Subaru My dad and I were driving down the street heading toward Olive Garden, and all of a sudden there was a bright Liquid Yellow 04' Cooper S for sale in a Subaru LOT to my left! I was suprised and screamed for my dad to slam on the brakes and pull into the dealership. And it turns out the dealership has order one Cooper S of every color! (To be delivered before Christmas) I want the job of driving them back from Kansas!! . They are $700 over MSRP @ 23,900, but seeing u can buy them off the lot, it is not half bad. And best of all they let me in one, and TEST DRIVE IT, my dad driving , I am stil allitle rusty with the stick. IT WAS SOOOOO MUCH FUN, I have never had so much fun being a passenger! The Subaru man was suprised someone my age would be interested in a MINI, but I just said "MINI's are for any person who wants one". I am wondering if this could become a problem though, car dealerships flooding the market to sell them and spiking the prices. Any of this going on anywhere elese? Do you think this should happen?Thoughts welcome Nathan |

Offline | Price hiking has been going on from day one. It's the American way. Gouge for as much as you can as long as you can. Free market and all that. It's more fun to drive than be a passenger in I can tell you that. |

Offline | MINIs regularly end up on random dealer's lots. I think most of the reason is people who buy them, they trade them in after a year. The dealer they trade them in to keeps it, and puts it on their lot, at whatever price they think they can get. If you or your parents are really interested, stop by an actual dealer, you'll get a lot more information and they're nice places to hang out. Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |
