Eibach lowering on an MCS

Hi,

Can anybody tell me...

I want to lower my MCS which has the 17" S-Spoke allows on.

The back seems to be raised slightly higher than the front, as standard from the factory.

When lowering, should the car become level almost - i.e. do I lower the back more then the front ?

And how much should I lower such a vehicle to make it look "Just right" ?

Thanks to all that help (in advance)

...oh, and if you simply fit new springs that lower the car, surely you should also alter the camber etc. ?

..anybody with eibachs and mechanical knowledge care to answer ?

I have the Eibachs, lowered 30mm front and rear, check my gallery for pics.
As for camber etc i would say that the car drove as good as stock if not better and there was no abnormal tyre wear.
I would advise removing the spats though, they are the little bits of plastic that sit proud of the wheel arch, this eliminated the wheel rub on very uneven road surfaces.

Hi Troy,

Yes, the eibachs lower the back by 1.2" and the front by 1", getting rid of the "rake" and making the car sit flat. On 17's, lowering by this amount would be perfect. No rubbing (much!), and it doesn't look too "boy racer" or that you're trying too hard.

Getting some fitted to my cooper in the next couple of weeks :-)
