Just collected my new Cooper S today and I can't help but agree with all of your wonderful comments about how much fun it is!!! Marvelous. It really reminds me of my old Pug GTi-6, but better.

The spec I ordered is as follows: -

BRG/W Roof, Mirrors and Bonnet Stripes
Climate
Black Satellite Half Leather
Harmon Kardon - wow!!
6 CD
Chilli Pack
(Incidentally, is the on-board computer supposed to come with this pack in the UK??)
A few other winter must-haves.

However, I have a few questions: -

1. There's a rattle coming from inside the dash, has anyone else had this problem and if so what was it? It might help me when I speak to the dealer to get it fixed.

2. Can I get the dealer to program the key to close the windows as well?

Other than that it's been fantastic and I've managed to rack up 200 miles today and kept finding myself going around roundabouts like I didn't know which exit I wanted!!

In response to some other posts I would like to add my comments: -

1. No Bog, Stall, Yo-Yo as yet. Here's hoping it stays that way. In fact it has great pick-up.
2. The 17" S-Spokes are a tiny bit harsh but well worth it. I was worried my wife would find it too harsh after our previous Saab but she loves it too! A lot less harsh that my Fireblade anyway!
3. Reverse gear engaging. A good shove and you're in - ohh err!

There's a picture attached and I hope you like the BRG. I think it looks a little different as you don't see many Cooper S's with that colour.

About the rattle, I picked up my '05 MCS last friday and occassionally here a rattle from the frount dashboard. Did you find out what it was ?
