Offline | I have chosen the alloy finish for my MCS because I like the frosted finish it has. It doesn't reflect light in the kinda more plasticy way of the others but I like all of them, just alloy the most. If you are not sure I would have a look at them in the flesh. |

Offline | ive gone 4 the bright silver option as my test drive was in a alloy patina 'S' and personelly i wasnt overly keen. its all up 2 u tho m8, as sum1 else said tho, its best 2 go 2 the showroom and have a lookin in the flesh as pics wont represent the true colour and texture of the dashes. |

Offline | Anthractite for me, looks well classy. Had silver in my cooper, nice but used to it now. As for alloy petina, i think it looks poor. Each to their own though, my mate loves it. Leeroy Mini Cooper S - The Best Fun on More Than 2 Wheels! |

Offline | xnetco, this question (about what interior dash option looks best) comes up every few months or so. Not surprising really, considering that the MINI is one car where you have so many options and colour choices to choose from, it can be very agonizing!!! Here's a link about the anthracite trim that you may find useful: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...ght=anthracite |

Offline | I ended up with a different car than the one I ordered (similar spec, earlier build date therefore avoided $450 MCS price increase). The car I ordered had Alloy Patina, as I thought the silver was too light and the anthracite was a little too dark. However, the car I ended up with has the anthracite panels, and they are quite nice indeed, no regrets at all and it actually does give it a classier look. One thing to consider is seat color. The car I ordered with the Alloy Patina dash would have had all black leatherette interior, the one I ended up with has the grey / black space cloth, which lightens up the cabin despite the anthracite. |

| Whatev. | When I first saw the alloy patina dash I absolutely loathed it. I forgot to order the silver dash when I specced my S and ended up with the alloy patina one. Am glad it worked that way - originally I thought the alloy dash looked cheap - it has really grown on me though. Now I think the silver dash looks cheap. I guess that wasn't particularly helpful though huh? ![]() |

Offline | Think the alloy looks best, think the anthracite looks cheep - silver not too bad. Its all personal, though the designers obviously thought the alloy was the one to have on an S otherwise they wouldn't have made it standard (just trying to inject some logic into a massively subjective issue) A. |

Offline | I like the plain silver finish but lets face it any of the choices look a thousand times better than traditional cheap black hatchback plastic! Even the vinyl dash top looks classier than a Merc plastic. If I win the lottery that gets covered in leather though . Sorry veering fromsubject. |

Offline | I almost switched to Athrancite when it first came out, it sounded like something I'd like, but thankfully, for me, I did not change becase while liking the idea of a darker color I think the engineers blew it. The sparkly bits make Athrancite look extremely cheap and more obviously plastic then the other choices. Again this is just IMO. |
