I'm currently the owner of a Chili Red/Black Cooper. I'm upgrading to an 'S' and can't decide which color of the two to get w/ the Black roof.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I'd go with the Indi Blue, but white instead of black. I just think the black gets lost with the dark blue although I have seen a couple in that combination and they still look good. I like BRG, just not the one that comes on the Mini.

gt6 - thanks for the input......I've read a bunch of threads on these boards on the whole white or black roof thing.......I know white is such a nice contrast but I'm trying to go for something a little different...........

When it came time to order my MCS it was either IB/w or BRG/w. When it came time to order I went with the Indi Blue/w with bonnet stripes......but I ended up with BRG/w with bonnet stripes. Basically I found out that the dealer got a custom ordered car in that the guy couldn't get for the same price as mine.....similar spec but instead of the MFSW stand alone option this one had a sunroof as a stand alone option, but it didn't yet have the post-January build price increase. So I got a sunroof for the same price as a MFSW!

I went with my gut and ordered the blue because I leaned a little towards gt6's opinion that the BRG on the MINI isn't real BRG, but now that I have the car in that color I absolutely love it, I think the combo looks great and you just don't see hardly any BRG MCS' in my neck of the woods, so it's unique.

So long story short....go with your gut, you'll be extremely happy either way....and BTW I too had doubts about these colors with black, but I have seen some now and they do look fantastic with black roofs also.

I took delivery of an IB/B on Saturday. Looks very sharp; especially like how the white pinstripe outlines the black bonnet strips. My other color preferences were BRG/B and PW/B; all three are great color combos IMO.

I say go for the BRG with Black! For one thing, there aren't so many of them. Also, it looks awesome.

My local dealer has an IB/B coming in today or tomorrow, I'm going to stop by and check it out.....BRG/B comes in next week sometime!

Have you considered all Indie Blue? Have a look at Paul Mullet's car, looks great. For me some colours looks great without a different contrast roof (IB, PS, DS). Black isn't really a contrast to either IB or especially BRG.

Black roof looks best on Pepper white - as the dour,sour milk foul colour needs something to distract you away from it! - I would choose BRG with white roof!

I went went IB/B as I thought it looked "deeper" than the white roof...was worried about the white getting too dirty too quickly. Was also told it was a "rarer" combo than IB/W.

I almost went B/B at the dealer, but since IB is also due to be discontinued the middle of this year, it should add to its "rarity".

Indi is bound to be a less common color now that it is being discontinued. Might make your MINI a little more unique.

Any idea why they are discontinuing the IB? It's such a sexy color (I have to say so coz I just bought an IB/W hehehehehe).

I'd go for the IB/B...but i'm biased as we've ended up with 2! i have put the chrome line exterior on my S works ( including the mirrors ) and i think it brings out the black more.

My MCs is IB/IB and I really like that colour combination. In my opinion, Indi Blue and BRG are two very dark colours, and may not provide enough of a contrast to a black roof.

I suggest you have a look at this colour combination too - Electric Blue/Black. I just saw an EB/B MCS today, and I thought it looked absolutely stunning. Much nicer than EB/W.

i agree.. electric blue w/ black looks great... to me buying brg or ib w/ a black roof looks almost identical to one without the contrast roof... but im sure many will disagree with me...

ib/w or brg/w works very well, i've seen it in person

I can't disagree that brg/w works well......but then I'm biased

All these combos look fantastic, like I said in an earlier post go with your gut, flip a coin, whatever you do I don't think you'll be unhappy. I didn't get the color that I put an order in for, but I'm extremely pleased even though I was in your same pickle before ordering.

I'm having second thoughts about the stripes. Any thoughts or pictures about that combo?

I am getting that combo without the stripes. I think it's a cleaner look without the stripes -- at least for BRG. I like the stripes on most every other color.

I love my BRG/B w/stripes...add the cordoba beige leather and I think this is a tasteful nod to the Brit heritage of the MINI...and very unique. Have not seen another like it and I get great looks all the time...a group of teenage boys in a minivan w/their mom wents nuts next to me on the freeway today. Makes an "old man" feel pretty hip...

Funny how everyone is trying to get the guy to get the colours of their own cars

I won't spoil the trend.

IB/B is VERY rare, I've only ever seen one other IB/B MINI on the road. Someone once said to me that my MINI looked "different" to other MINIs and "classy", because of the colour combo. It does have a bit of a different feel to other MINIs as far as the colours go.

Go and see it in the flesh though, it's a personal choice! But Indi Blue and BRG are great colours anyway, just depends if you want the contrast roof or not!
