Any Photos of a DS with X-Lites?

If so, please post one. All I've seen(photo and live) are EB with the X-Lites, and DS with S-Lites (should be called S-Heavies).

Thanks KarmanS!

I've been looking for DS, X-lites with body colored roof. Close enough. Starting to think that polishing the X-lites will match the chrome nicely (light window tint), and perhaps painting the black flair trim in body color to make it even a little more classy eh?

How would the DS look with a black roof?

Ordered my "S" August '01. Arrived July '02. EB with white roof, wheels and stripes, Chili pack, DSC and climate control. Hate those 17" runflats though.

Can now be seen all over the West Midlands, as a blue blur passing everything at speed

The 'S' photo is swerks' gallery is actually PS/black. But if you turn down the brightness on your monitor a tad, and decrease the contrast a bit......eeh..yeh....it looks dark silver to me.

There is one shot of a PS/black with black hood stripes, but the others are definitely DS/black.

On second look, you're right RickB. It sure does change colors in different lighting conditions. Compare this picture of dark silver from Paul_M news report, to that of swerks' auto show picture.

I inquired on a couple of occasions, of anyone who had seen DS in the flesh, if it looked like dark silver or dark gray. Lighting apparently has a lot to do with it, as someone commented that on a drab day, DS looks drab. The car show pictures make it look like a very rich, sparkly silver, while the outdoor photos look like gray. I hope it's the former, because I've opted for DS/black.

Dark Silver in bright sun light

Here are a couple shots in bright sunlight from 3/21

I love this color - but the Jet Black may be a deal breaker for me...I think the white top actually darkens the color a bit more.

Dark Silve is very Austin Martin DB4 looking to me....."Mr. Bond"

Great way to contrast the way DS looks different in different lighting. In a post in this thread

http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...&threadid=5304

Paul Mullett states:

"If you live in a cloudy area, go for EB, if it's usually sunny, DS. That's my tip.

In the grey the DS looks, well, grey, while the EB still glows.

In the pictures directly above this post that DerBluePotato posted, the Dark Silver looks wonderful in glorious sunshine, almost like liquid mercury. Love it!

Just noticed in DerBluePotato's picture of the S front bumper, there appear to be NO holes shown for the front license plate holder (I thought there'd be two little bolt holes as visible in other S photos).

Perhaps there are body-colored plugs? Looks even better!

I noticed that as well - there is definately some purple in the dark silver. The EB is nice, but the DS looks more sinister at night.

Guys, I really hate to do this but, I have to reveal the horrible truth. No MINI Cooper S will be sold in states that require a front liscense plate. Apparently it interferes too much with the asthetics of this fine automobile.
If you live in one of these benighted communities, I urge you to write your state representatives and launch a grassroots movement against front tag laws.

... oh wait, its the 29th? darn, why couldn't I have waited till Monday to post this?!?
