If you ask me the way they have gone about it stinks.

Ok they released the Cooper here first, but all we did was beta test them for the rest of the world.

Now that most of the cars faults have been identified and rectified, surprise surprise we are the last to get to drive the car we were all really after in the first place...a Cooper S

It has become a sad state of affairs when a car is built in your country yet you have to travel thousands of miles to get to drive one.

I have not even seen one yet.

Hey guy - don't be so angry... I live in Germany and although BMW is a real German company, we were not the first who could see the Cooper, and we also will be one of the latest who will see the S.

So don't mind about that and look forward to the day when all your wishes come true (and your dealer calls and tells you to pick up your S baby....)

Politics, sales, money, keeping people happy etc. etc..

Just like to mention that we did state early last year that those accross the pond would get the S first.

Even though we Yanks are the benefactors, I agree...it sucks. The Germans haven't treated GB this badly in about 47 years. You WERE the guinea pigs, and now you have to wait for the "S" until we get it first. I said almost a year ago that the "niggles" you guys were suffering would not make it to the US. I still believe you'll see that in the months ahead...US cars will be virtually "niggle" free.

Paul...yer right. I was sad about not getting a MINI One, but I figured out I can always pull off three of the plug wires on my "S", take off the beefed up suspension parts, miss second gear every time I upshift, stuff a potato in the exhaust, and get virtually the same effect!

Of course, you forgot to mention that we're better drivers too

Which also solves the mystery of why the Cooper S 0-60 times are faster here
