Offline | Review of S at edmunds.com Here's another on-line review of the S from the Portugal press junket http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/roadt...5/article.html Nothing really new & the usual selection of things for group nit-picking, but here's a nice picture of an EB S on the road. Can't have too many of those ![]() Cooper S, Jet Black w/ white roof, silver 16" X-Lite wheels, DSC, MFSW, dark tinted windows ...It's here & I love it! |

Offline | What a rubbish report of the S!!! "and just because we like the symmetry of having both speedo and tachometer on the steering column, we'd spend the $1,600 for the nav system". Enough said really ![]() |

Offline | ... as well as saying "We'd option the base Cooper out with the CVT tranny ($1,250)" YUK!!I can't help but thinking the writer of this report is missing the whole point of the MINI Perhaps he'd be happier with a nice Audi or something? |

Offline | You are right. Its the same as the 2 guys at the showroom today: "What, 18.000 Euro for this little car ? For this money you can have a nice VW Golf ( Rabbit) " ------------------------------- Leave this stupids at their Rabbit ONE Chili Red, Chrome-Grille, 16" 5-Star Wheels, fogs, Rear Spoiler, AirCondition, Sport Seats, Alu Patina Dash with Chrome rings |

Offline | Every second car on the street's a Rabbit. And each one looks just the same as all the others - how boring that is... ![]() But let them be happy with their Rabbits and Hondas and Clios and all this stuff - Mini drivers simply 'motor' - and have fun!!!! ![]() Chili Red 'S' with 17" alloys, full leather (panther black) and a number of toys inside (H/K, visibility pack...) |

Offline | There's a review by Forbes at http://www.forbes.com/2002/01/28/0128feat_6.html that has a better viewpoint... "Skip the GPS, please, since it screws up the whole retro look of the center console, but we'd vote for the Sport package" |

Offline | Re: Re: Re: Review of S at edmunds.com Funny you should say that. I saw a brand new MX5 the other day, and it was so close to what I should think the EB looks like........looked rather good. The biggest problem I have is that the MINI colours are either really light, like EB.......or really dark like IB. I'm so hard to please I guess....... don't think we have the Cosmos Black as an option with the S. Sigh..... gone off the yellow now too....... ![]() |

Offline | Re: Re: Re: Re: Review of S at edmunds.com Noooooo!... I thought you were as good as married to that yellow honey! But if you're playing the field again, you could do worse than the black... I'm starting to think all black, though that's lynchin' material round these parts. (For those not familiar with the finer points of antipodean etiquette, all black is the sports-strip colour of those mutton-lovin' frowners over the ditch in nyu zilun) I see from anothere thread, though that the bacofoil special has caught your eye... all silver. It's cool, I like it - Go for that under-rated aloy patina look across the whole damn car! The clear light will set it off just perfectly. The only addition that could improve this would be...? Well you'll just have to swing by the Full Metal Jacket Thread to find out ![]() Cooper S, Jet Black w/ white roof, silver 16" X-Lite wheels, DSC, MFSW, dark tinted windows ...It's here & I love it! Offline | here's another great angle of the same car rich. Tyre tread pattern is interesting. Pretty sure we don't get those 17" tyres on Oz cars. Last edited by Basil : Mar 31st, 2002 at 09:53 PM. |
