Offline | Bought another one ... Well after 5 months in a Z4, I'm returning to the MCS. Just ordered yesterday a BRG & Black with Chili and other stuff ... still toying with the JCW kit, but after the test drive I'm really struggling to justify the extra 4K ... any advice out there? |

Offline | Wow. Congrats. A Z4 to a MCS! ![]() Cant give you much advice on the Works kit, as I am yet to drive one. It is alot for overall HP gains - if thats all youre after, maybe wait until your warranty period expires and chuck a Hartge kit in it or something. ![]() But if its that sorted, well rounded, 'like its supposed to be' feel you want, then yeah, the JCW kit is all the go. And it sounds bl00dy fantastic ![]() - Global Moderator - MY BLOG - Global Procrastinator - ![]() ... Buying the 8C for its dynamic abilities is like buying a porn film for its plot ... |

Offline | Which Z4 do you have 2.2 2.5 or 3.0 what made you decide to change back? If youve got the cash for the works kit spend it lol - mind you its not my money but I think I would if id got plenty, it is alot for the money though GGR, BBR and Hartge amoungst others do kits to inrease power at prices like £1800- but then you have warranty issues. Mini certainly know how to make there money. |

Offline | If you don't care about warranty, you can go for the MINI Mania Stage III. 245 bhp, 0-60 in 5.9 secs, limited slip front diff., upgraded and lowered suspension. All for the price of JCW! |

Offline | It's the 2.2 I've got and I have to say it's a great car, but at the same time I got it my girlfriend bought a Cooper and I find myself wanting to drive the cooper more. The Z4 is great for motorway cruising and top down posing, but when it comes to throwing a car round winding british roads it just isn't as much fun as a Cooper S ... there is something special about them. Also the Z4 with the 2.2 is slower than the S. On the JCW front I think I'm going to go for stock cooper first and then upgrade later ... that way it will be like getting a new car again in about 6 months :-) |
