I've been reading over quite a number of threads and I'm noticing things like Cold Weather packages, Xenon lights as an option, even cassettes, and am imagining quite a difference in packages and standard features from country to country. I guess I'm just trying to see the differences here and there...I'll start with what comes as standard here in Canada....

Heated side mirrors
Heated wind shield washer jets
Xenon lights with head light washers
CD Boost Radio
16'' Rims (not sure of the name...x-lite maybe???)
Power windows, mirrors, etc...
Cooled glovebox
Power outlet in rear of vehicle

Took me a while to find the original thread as it's been dormant for over two years

I think some of the things that are listed as an option in Australia are now standard. I picked up mine 2 days ago, the options I added were Xenons, HK, S-Spokes, Met Paint.
and included (off the top of my head) were:

front and rear fogs
MFSW
illuminated footwells and vanity mirrors
6 airbags
on board computer
aircon (manual)

probably some other stuff in there I haven't discovered yet :-)

Thanks again Miniac...Looking over the list I see that you have ??? for some of the Canadian standard options... The wood steering wheel and wood trim packages and not available. The Alarm system is an option through the parts and service department. All six air bags have been standard since the MINI's first came out...We've got a button here that switched the outside temp display on the tach to your actual road speed new recently which is pretty cool as well...

In Spain when I bought it (july 2003) the S came as standard with climate control, alarm, ASC+T(DSC?), Front Fog Lights and 16'' Xlite alloys.
