noisy exhaust in heavy rain

2nd time i've noticed this where i've been in mega heavy rain doing about 30 - 50 mph the exhaust is a lot more boomy than normal - any clues? wish it was this loud all the time ha ha.

ps car is 02 MCS totally standard.
