Im sure i read somewhere that the 05 will have a cd as standard but im not sure.

We've just ordered ours for 54 reg but have paid the normal price for cd+radio boost so mabe its just the cab mini that will have it standard?.

it was standard on my 2004 MCS.

The standard and optional equipment list is different on MINIs in the US and Canada, compared to our UK friends. Over there, almost everything on their MINIs is an optional add-on, including the CD player, the glovebox and air conditioning!!

Nope CD is extra on the 05 MCS. Try asking your dealer where you can buy tapes!
