Offline | US MINI dealers should have all the 2005 specs for the both the hardtop and the convertible - just not the prices yet. We should see them in the next couple of weeks. Hardtop Specs Cabrio Specs ![]() |

Offline | Count me in Yup I too am very ![]() ![]() ![]() ed off at all the corporate tight-lipped horse ![]() ![]() ![]() that M-USA is shoveling out here. I may be ordering my S here at month's end, and my dealer said that YES I should be able to configure my car online and YES the prices will be posted by that time. however, M-USA "customer service" rep said no prices til "later" this summer, whatever the hell that means. I have rarely seen such ineptitude Drop the ball, BMW. this is no way to run a car business. All the confusion can be nipped if MUSA gets off their asses and freaking ANNOUNCE and UPDATE--after all, they're taking orders, right? How can they ethically take our money for an order if they don't even know the prices? Are we that desperate? ![]() |

Offline | I think it's premature to get angry at BMW / MINI. The fact that they haven't officially announced in the U.S. means we shouldn't be speculating about what we're going to order and what the prices will be when they do officially announce the 2005's. It would be impossible for BMW USA to post all the specs and prices before any of the rumors regarding the 2005 models appears on the Internet. I suggest we anxious 2005 buyers breath calmly and sit on our hands. If we were more patient and wanted less stress in our lives we would just plan to order an 2005 MINI in October and there would be no outstanding questions. It's hard to blame BMW for anticipation and rumors that we've brought on ourselves by trying to gather information from sites such as this. I can't wait to get my MINI and I'm having fun reading the rumors and thinking about colors and options. However, I won't be mad at anyone but myself if some option I want is not available in July (like the cool Hyper Blue color). KennyP |

Offline | It'd be premature to get mad at MINI if www.mini.com didn't go and annouce all the changes for July 1st many weeks ago. I don't expect MINI to pander to the rumor sites, but I absouletly expect them to follow the lead of their parent company and give us the specific information that already exists. Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |

Offline | And some of us... ...are right at order point after long waits, so it's hard NOT to get mad at M-USA or BMW for pointing guns at our heads and say "order now" and there's so much confusion by the public and the dealers and there are no set prices and we have nothing to work with because M-USA is soooo damned good at tight-lipped corporate-speak . Stryder is right: We've known about this transition for 2 months now, and there's no reason for M-USA's sluggishness. They should've announced the changes before they started taking money for cars that formally and technically do not exist--yet. I worked in car sales for 5 years, managing, selling, finance, and never ONCE did I see anything like this. In sum, you could not order/get a new car until after officially announced and prices were set. BMW is really stretching their credibility here.... Besides, if we wish to get mad and vent at the mind-boggling ineptitude of big corporations like BMW it's my right--and anyone elses's--to do so. That's my opinion and I'm stickin to it.... ![]() |

Offline | No doubt everyone and anyone has a right to get mad at any big corporation they wish. And certainly everyone has a right to their own opinion. By the end of September, let's hope we're all happily motoring in our new 05's. ![]() KennyP |
