Offline | My first month Hi guys I've owned my MCS for almost a month now and I'm loving every minute. I bought an used one, just 2800 km on it. At first I wanted to get a black, blue or red one with a white roof and S-spoke wheels, you know the classic look. What I got? A liquid yellow with a same coloured roof and Split R90. Any regrets? NO! It was the colour and the wheels that got my attention, and it seems that almost every one react the same way, it's the first time I've been in a car that people are taking pictures of when you overtaking them on the highway(!) My MCS is the only one in my town so I get a lot of questions at gasstations, parkinglots and redlights, I don't mind. I just hope that I don't get the attention from the boys in blue, you know, speedticket-wise. ![]() |

Offline | Hi DNV122, A swedish flag on the roof? I've been thinking about it, but the MCS has a sunroof and I think it looks much cleaner without a flag. There's a little Union Jack on the left b-post though, maybe I put a swedish flag on the right b-post... |

I've looked around a little on the personal galleries and on the net and I can't say that I've seen a similar MINI. So how many of you out there have a MCS that looks like mine? Please let me know, Sergio has made me very curious Btw, thanks for all the nice words about my MCS, by looking in the galleries I can see that there are MANY cool looking MINI's on the planet, KEEP ON MOTORING. |

Offline | Daaoak, actually, yours is the second LY/LY that I've seen so far...both in pictures. As a matter of fact, I had the picture of this other yellow/yellow on my HDD for obvious reasons I've seen lots of LY in the flesh, but they all had the white and black roof/mirrors. Offline | Sergio, When I see a LY with a white roof/mirrors my mind always wander of in the Bananasplit- mode ,the roof being the icecrem, the body the banana and black on the MINI being the chocolatesauce... Hmm, maybe I should go and see a doctor?Since the picture was taken I've added chrom mirrors and bootlid handel, I think it makes the car look more balanced and retro. I've talked to my picture taking friend today and next week we're gonna take some picture that I can't put in my gallery. Lets hope the weather will be sunny. |

Offline | Well done, nice to see someone else that hasn't followed the crowd with a black or white roof! I've got a Cooper in LY/LY and think it looks great. A big feature of MINI ownership is surely about 'being different' and I reckoned that a black roof would make my Mini look like just about every other Cooper out there! Even my dealer tried to talk me out of it, didn't recommend a body colour roof at all. |

Offline | Hi guys, Today I found another good thing about choosing LY/LY as colour on your MINI. It's been grey skies and raining all day here in Sweden but when I look out my window my MCS "glows" like a sun. So no matter what the weathers like, when you choose a LY/LY the sun is always near. Doh! How corny was that reply? ![]() |

Offline | hehe...and the LY with the black roof might probably look like a Bumble Bee...the first word that came to mind when I first saw a chili red MINI with the white roof/mirrors was "ambulance". I guess that later on, this combination grew up on me cuz me and my wife both drive two CR/W... ![]() Chili Red/W/W MCS. 05 Mitsubishi Evolution VIII >>> 12.08@114.8mph |

Offline | Two MCS in one family? How cool is that? I'm singel, so I don't have problem with someone nicking my carkeys I guess that's why one of the MCS has bonetstripes, so you can tell them apart? I have often wondered why is it when you americans put european numberplates on your car you allways seems choose german plates? Even on cars that are made in other countrys If you want some thing different, mail me your adress and I send you one of my MCS old numberplates. |

Offline | Actually, the picture was taken in Germany... My MINI is now in the States, but my wife's is still in Europe because of her job. And, oh btw, right after I took this picture she put them stripes on her MINI too , so you couldn't tell which was which. (...not really, hers has the sunroof and silver wheels...mine has white wheels).Chili Red/W/W MCS. 05 Mitsubishi Evolution VIII >>> 12.08@114.8mph |
