it sounds awesome~~

but i'm just wondering is this sound normal

whenever i tap my gas padel
i hear a whizz sound (air sound?)

is this normal??

i'm scared that the sound is due to air leaking out because i didn't install the upper stock Tube clamp

I've heard it called a hiss or whistle.
Mine you can hear driving down the road. Any light throttle input and it whistles. Quite high pitched.

I'd suggest installing a hose clamp or at least a large zip tie at the hose connection. That's between the filter and your intake. That means, dirt straight in to your engine.

That's the throttle body opening to admit the extra air you've dialed-up by tipping into the pedal. Or, so I was told by the installer of my Alta.

so do all CAI's (and HAI, in my case) do that?

is it due to something not being mounted right, or is it just what comes with having a cone style (or anything more open than a panel) filter?

They all do that... You can take off the filter (foam filter is easier) and swing it hard. you will be able to hear that sound.

Not the whistle I described. That seems to be an Alta exclusive.
What everyone else is describing is just normal induction noise you'll hear on any car with open filter elements. Sounds somewhat like sucking in through your teeth.

The Alta thing is like a dog whistle. Yes, you can hear dog whistles
