Offline | Just Dropped Deposit on MC40, Bye-bye 02 Rattler: +JCW? love the inverted red leather. hated my old car mostly due to my old dealership. I'm giving MINI another shot, and I'M paying for it. The dealer is telling me the 05 JCW will not fit this car. Is this true? I would rather wait for the next generation if I can. can't leave the MCS! ![]() NY/NE Mod |

| #1647 of 1960 | if I understand correctly the MC40 is basically an 04 model... which means you can get the JCW antime you want (rather than the 05 delay).. and I've read there will be a possible update available to boost 03/04 kits to the 210 number. The 05 kit is not out yet.. oh, and congratulations!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() |

Offline | Good stuff. Get the 04 JCW Kit now. The 05 kit won't be availble for 2 more months. Plus you can get the new 05 JCW injectors when the upgrade kit is out. UK Expat - Oi Oi 2005 DS/DS MCS |

| Having Too Much Fun | I have had my MC40 for just a few days and i'll tell you it's more fun every time I drive it. The color scheme is really eye popping and I get lots of attention. Watch for Cops tho! I am thinking about the new JCW kit also, but may just try a computer software upgrade, air box and exhaust for a "cheap" 25hp or so first. Then, who knows? I will say I thought hard about the other MC40 on the floor with the JCW kit on it already. Couldn't see financing the extra $$$ for 5 years. ![]() Enjoy and let us know your experiences. |

Offline | Hey GMINI, Congrats on your new ride. I guess you found the deal you were looking for. Are you going to have to travel far to pick it up? On another note you will love the power of the JCW kit even at only 200hp but I have already informed dealer, Keller Mini that I will be purchasing the upgrade package. See you in October Bonz |

Offline | Prestige MINI in Mahwah, NJ. They've had a lot of MC40s trucked in and they are touting themselves as the MC40 Store. I am quite satisfied with the deal we struck. That's an hour and some ride from here, bonz. Not too bad. More local dealers suffer from reputation lag... ![]() NY/NE Mod |

Offline | I got a ride in an MC40 at the dealer i went to. It was slated to get the JCW in it but at drive time they weren't installed. man did that car stick to the road. taking an entrance ramp on the beltway in Baltimore at 60MPH was a slightly scary experience. |

Offline | the MC40 i got the ride in was still in it's stock configuration. but there were the decals/plates/whatever on it for the JCW kit. but the day i went to the showroom and got the ride i was just going in to find out about the time frame of getting a car. went back the following weekend and put down my deposit on a 05 Cooper S. currently my "car" is sitting in the "on order" phase. this wait is gonna kill me. |
