MK2 Mini Cooper S Badge from a Morris

Getting My Cooper S which in effect is a Mk2 in January and was wondering if the MK2 Morris Cooper S Badge would fit and replace the Stanard Mini Badge? Just to be a bit different??

I dont even have my Cooper to see if it would or not as I pretraded it

I suppose it probably will but wether it looks right in proportion I dont know, the badges are just stuck on so you should be able to remove them carefully.

a bit of work would need to be done, a the old style badges normally have pins on the back of them that pushed into a plastic bung in the car, you could cut and grind these down so you can then stick it on, or you could drill your new car to put it on.

Its workable, but is the amount of work or risk of damage worth it?

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

I was tempted to do the same thing when I came across an original "Austin Seven" badge (the name that the original Mini had before anyone thought of the name "Mini") on a Mini restorer's stand at a show.

Do it properly (perhaps a re-chrome) and it could look great. As a bonus it should wind some of the classic people up a treat

I put a "MINI-MINOR" badge on my rather fast 1293cc Mini years back, it looked good, and I thought it was quite funny having a "slow" name on a very quick little car!
