Does anyone know what color wheels the Pre-Spec Chili Red Cooper S's are coming with? It Seems that Chili Red w/ White Top/Mirrors and 17" wheels as the only option is a common pre-spec car. I have the option on one arriving next week but no one seems to know for sure the wheel color.

More than likely they're silver wheels. Every single Pre-Spec Cooper S with 17's I know of will have silver, including mine. UNLESS, you made a change to a pre-spec S, but if you have, you'd wouldn't be getting it for a little longer because of when that option was available to most.

Thank you for the info, hopefully you are correct. I assumed silver also until MINI USA informed me today that they think the wheels are white as most of the cars coming pre-speced have white wheels???

How do your know for sure your car has silver wheels? Also, what color door panels are most pre-speced Cooper S's coming with (Black or Grey)?

Finally, when is your car arriving. I was told by MINI USA that my car should be at the dealer (Chicago) around May 22.

Mine's already here, got it on Saturday (that answers the wheel question).
Mine just made the boat, was first off, and went through the VPC and showed up at my dealer within THREE days after arriving at the port on the 8th.
Now, my co-driver's Cooper sat at the dock in Oxford waiting for mine, got off the boat afterwards and is still at the NJ port last we know. It's odd, there's not necessarily an exact order.

My Cooper gets unloaded on Wed, May 15 and is scheduled on a car hauler for departure from NJ VPC on Tuesday, May 21 with arrival at my dealer in Chicago on Wed/Thur...hopefully just in time for a scenic drive into Northern Michigan for Memorial Weekend.

When you say Co-Driver, do I assume you are a rally guy? I did the LaCarrera Panamericana in Mexico in 1999 and 2000 and also crewed for the Mille Miglia in Italy so I am a bit of a historic rally guy.

Actually No, I'm an autocrosser. When I refer to a co-driver on those terms, it's someone whom you share a car with, keeping the tires warm between each other's runs, and give car feedback and encouragement before you run. It's mainly only used on a National level, or when another person doesn't have a car to run.

I SPOKE TO MINIUSA YESTERDAY AND MY PRE SPEC CHILI RED WITH WHITE ROOF IS COMING WITH SILVER RIMS. EVERYONE IVE SEEN SO FAR HAS HAD SILVER RIMS. I STILL TO THIS DAY HAVE NOT SEEN AN S WITH THE 17" WHITE WHEELS.
