Good news/Bad news

Good news: Wife is pregnant and is due in april
Bad news: Not a practical car to haul a car seat in and out of. So sadly my cooper S is going to have to go. Boo Hoo!

Just wondering what sort of price to pitch it at. I would be grateful if anybody could suggest a realistic price

Its a Solid Black MCS (march 04)

Any suggestions on an equally fun car but with 4 doors? Could always get the Mini convertible and just open/shut the roof for access!

Awww mate plenty of us have MINIs and babies and have few problems. Maybe you should ask your wife for a Works Kit so you can get her to the hospital quicker!!!

The catalogue (in the UK) lists a complete rug-rat travel system and fitting kit*.

You'll kick yourself in a few years...

*Just to clarify, the fitting kit is for the travel system - not the rugrats...

So why does everything have to be practical?

Actually, how did you end up buying a Mini to begin with if things have to be practical?

I was working on getting the works upgrade before the 'good news'. I must admit I have thought about it. Just don't think the wife would struggle in and out the back of the car with seat (when I'm not around). I spose I could go to the mini dealership and check it out. Plus where on earth do you find a push chair that will fit in boot?

Check out the parent & child forum for the answer to that one

Our 's' does baby and toddler duty when Im not losing races with Clios.

Its ok - but clearly not an MPV
We manage a baby and a 3 year old, dont forget how wide the doors open, and you can tuck in behind the front seats to strap 'em in.

The kids actually love the Mini

That's easy. This we bought the 4 in 1 from Phil and Teds (a New Zealand company) who export probably the world's best quality strollers and prams all around the world.

Believe me, babies and MINIs are a great combo. I was taking my son (six-month-old) out of the MINI a few weeks ago and overheard someone sitting in a nearby cafe' say, "What a cool dad."
