Offline | Lop-sided heated rear side window My rear window behind the driver seat appears to be heated, BUT the passenger side does not... Is this intentional?? Is there an explanation for it, as I thought that if they are going to heat the rear windows, then why not both of them? Any left-hand drive owners able to verify if only their driver side rear is heated? Also, is this heater linked to the rear windscreen demister? I assume it only works when the rear demist button is pressed? Anyone able to shed some light? |

Offline | It's your radio aerial! It's only like that on satnav equipped cars which have the sharkfin on the roof. I think I saw somewhere that all 2005 model year cars get a traditional aerial on the roof, even if they have satnav. MCS JCW CR/CR ; MOD LY/B |

Offline | Hahahaha So thats what it is...! I should have known; there is no reason to have a heated side window. And even if there was, it would be on both sides. I just thought that the sharkfin aerial on the roof did both functions, but in hindsight, this makes no sense. Thanks, RedMini, for setting me straight. Now gotta tell my friends as I have already waxed lyrical about having a "drivers side REAR heated glass". "WOW, man", they said. Looking back, it is a useless feature (my MINI is a 1-person car for about 90% of the time), unless you have a chauffeur-driven S-class or something similar! Does the 2005 cars' aerial handle both functions? What happened to the shark fin...? I like the shape of it (thinking of upgrading in a few years.... ) |

Offline | No problem. See the first post of this thread about the new combined nav/aerial - http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61004. StevePSB normally knows what's going on as he works for a MINI dealer. MCS JCW CR/CR ; MOD LY/B |
