My MCS is due at the dealer on the 10th
I may be able to get it on the 12th
Or I may have to wait for the 14th

Changed a few things since original spec and suffered with the p-ex pricing
But I'm really looking forward to this more than any other car I've owned

boy is it gonna drag, I've only got 4 shifts to work between now and pick up day (thanks boss for those unexpected extra days off before I get my MCS )

Ordered mine in September and have a delivery date of 13th May at the dealers and 20th May for picking up. COUNTING all the way!!!

I don't know how you can wait for 1st March when you know your MINI is sat there waiting and begging for you to come and set it free from the dealer

Private plate means no point in waiting any longer

I'll be ringing the dealer on the 10th to see if it's arrived and push for delivery on the 12th, it only needs the PDI and a quick wash, shouldn't take them too long

Mine won't be at the dealers until 18th Feb the earliest - won't be built until next week. Would be 26th Feb before I could get it anyway so figured may as well just leave it til 1st March as originally planned.

Don't you think the wait gets worse, the nearer the delivery date gets?????

Lots of people know I am getting mine but still think it's ging to be funny when they see me now driving round in my CR/W Cooper and then in 4 weks time in my HB/W Cooper S - most of them won't know the cooper from the S but will notice the colour! I lvoe having a new car anyway. Nothing beats that new car smell and when you look at the odometer and it has like 10 miles on it! Love it! The excitment of driving away from the garage in a new car is great - I just end up feeling scared that someone is going to hit me! What will be nice this time is that it won't take me any time to adjust to the size of the car as I will already be used to it, it will just be the new extras that I have (MFSW, auto air con etc.) and the additional BHP.

Great minds think alike - or should that be fools seldom differ??? I realised that I am copying the mini brochure as the cooper in the crochure is CR/W and the MCS is HB/W - I figure they must think these are good colours for them!

are you p/exing or selling your existing mini??

Yep probably the latter

It wasn't until I was looking at the brochure yet again for the trillionth time, that I realised I was copying them, although not intentionally, but I guess we just have excellent taste, and eyes for the colour combos that work best (pats self on back ). It would appear that the marketing people neglected to put white bonnet stripes on their CR/W MC and HB/W MCS though (honestly the same mistake twice, some people )

Will sell the CR/W MC privately if I can time it right for picking up the HB/W MCS, otherwise it will be the easy option of px

Attempting to sell mine privately at the moment but had no interest so looks like a p/ex may be my only way forward! Would prefer it to go privately but I am aware that a few people have said they didn't get much interest when selling their mini's privately. 4 weeks to go to sell this baby!

Not sure why you're having trouble with the private sale (might be lack of bonnet stripes tehehe ). What with the lead time on new ones, you'd think you'd have buyers willing to bite your arm off Looks like it might be px for me then

Of course bonnet stripes like any option will be down to personal taste, I just thought the front needed something else to lift it, and they lead into the W roof and W mirrors very nicely. It just gels in my eyes

Take a serious look at the posts by squirt and x30yes in the Hyper Blue with Stripes thread, they just look utterly fantastic
