| Gutter Princess | I've recently made one of the toughest and bravest decisions of my life to date. I have had to come to terms with reality and have decided that I have to sell my beloved Mini. I can't imagine what life will be like without her, and I know that I'll be gutted every time I see a mini on the road. Thinking of selling in the summer as I want to do a roadtrip to Ireland before then, and enjoy some nice dry roads before she goes. Anyone got any tips on selling Minis, how to cope emotionally, and what life is like after Mini? Help....! |

| MINI2 Regular | Oh no No more Rocket! I'm so sorry that it has come to this and as you said it was the hardest and bravest decision you've ever made. I did the same before Christmas, it was VERY hard selling her but I know in the back of my mind - even though I doubt myself everytime I see one - it was the best thing to have done. Good luck, I'm here for any moral support, people really do not realise how attached you become to "a car", these people have never owned a MINI!!! I didn't replace Georgie with anything but am insured on my mum's KA - it moves but is a HUGE culture shock, the cornering is shockingly bad and I often forget when approaching a roundabout and have to slow down considerably Seriously best of luck, I personally had no luck on MINI2 selling mine and finally sold her privately.*March 2003, Mini Cooper, Solid Black, White Roof, White Bonnet Stripes, Red Tartan Kaleido/leather, Chilli Pack, SSP, 6 CD Changer, Cassette Boost Bootiful!! - Now gone But still got the MINI spirit ![]() |

![]() Now answering to Lady J! | Oh honey, I really hope you don't end up having to sell your beloved Mini. However, I know that with the plans you ahve you will no doubt have a lot of fun if you do sell. at the end of the day, no matter how tough it will be having to sell, at least you have had the experience of having a Mini and you have got to know all of us so you will still be part of the Mini community!! good luck with whatever you do! |

Offline | I'm sorry you're going to be selling your MINI. ![]() Good luck with everything. I'm sure you'll get another MINI one day. p.s. I think you did absolutely the right thing in giving your notice. People let themselves be screwed over far too easily. |

| Gutter Princess | oh you sweet wonderful people - I'm nearly crying reading this! How pathetic.. Will try and do MtM if I can - depends on when work let me go.... they might kick me out the day I hand in my notice! brilliant if they do!Feel like I'm going to be losing my right arm - Aiden you are right! Rocket is an extension of me... but I'm having a bit of an epiphany... need to let some things go out of my life right now (sounds so dramatic!) and allow some new stuff in. Selling Rocket should allow for this... You never know - one day I might create her again... in the meantime someone else will be a lucky so and so, and have an amazing time with her. ![]() I've had an incredible time with my little red Mini and met you rabble too - I NEVER dreamed I would meet anyone through the internet! I'm currently getting insurance quotes for a second hand Impreza turbo... I'm actually quite excited - I might turn my hand to rallying next! I'll keep you posted.... thanks for your kind words - I'm really touched. Intrepid. xx |
