Tiny little 2005 questions

I've had my 2005 MCS for a week although I'm driving the 2003 mostly until some insightful person buys it. Here are a couple of questions for y'all:

If you are like me and on your second or third MCS, do you find the doors on the 2005 less clunky (there's a precise word for you)? Maybe lighter?

What's that electrical motor noise that powers up at start and down at ignition off? Not in my 2003.

Does everyone's 2005 exhaust gurgle/ backfire when coasting?

Can you reprogram the seat belt dinger thing to stop annoying me for what seems like 20 minutes? I generally wear the belt but, and I know, I know, sometimes do not if I'm just running to the store.

Other than that, I like the new gearing, dislike where the clock is, and have to read about the on-board computer visuals as there are so many of them now. Finally, if I turn my steering wheel around, the buttons for my audio would be in the back where I'm used to them, right? uh-oh, the airbag wouldn't work well then, would it?

More than a couple of questions but have at 'em

Thanks

The door straps, (that prevent the door from opening too far), on the post 03 models are plastic, and much smother in operation. The earlier ones are metal, a bit stiffer and harder to lubricate.

In use the door on the newer models feels more free swinging, i.e. less resistance.

Thanks, you folks over the pond are great! Please do not misunderstand, I think I like the car BUT I love/loved SCAR-GO, the 2003. From 10/02 until today, my worst problem was a rusted out muffler hanger and uneven wearing tires (not the car's fault, I believe)
