323/328 vs 325/330? I Have the Answer

Read my last post! 04/19/05

Have not been here for a while and plan on installing the Shark Injector. The I see that the "M52TU" engine is better than the M54 engine. So I look for the Build lables and realize that when the Car was hit on the left rear Quarter, the Idoits at Tate Mini never saved these stickers or told me they had thrown or sanded this away or tried to get the 2 stickers for me.

I then come here and look at the FAQ then try the search engine and ask how to find engine numbers and it separates "Engine" , "Number" and I see a zillion threads to look through. SO if this information is somewhere, please tell me how to get the Search to find it for me and I will look there. I now know how someone feels when they are told that they should have used the Search engine and already did and found nothing. So if it is not already somewhere, can anyone tell me how to obtain this information from the Vin Number or Date of Manufacture?

As I know it the 323/328 is single vanos, and the 325/330 is twin vanos. These units are the front of the engine.

Good to see you are here also. Here is what I have been doing

Trying for 230 MPH and 199.353 so far. 330 HP and 450 Pounds of Bike.

This Vanos spoken about? Is this a different Supercharger? How would you know?

Thanks for the Replys.

BTW, I resolved the problems I had with the Harsh ride. I installed some Toyo tires and the ride is a lot better and the car is taking less abuse from the Bumps.

On the Oil Changes, I was going to go with 7,500 miles until I started reading about the Dodge Intrepid blowing up engines because of "SLUDGE" building up from long oil change intervals (Yes using Syn Oils) so I am back to 5,000 which is up from 3,000 miles.

WHen Monday arrived, I sent an e-mail to the makers of the Shark Injector and asked them. They stated that the numbers only referred to a BMW!! I am embarassed! But I did find that the door stickers were missing and am about getting new ones.

You have got a memory! She now has Saint Hood (Someone stated that she had to be a Saint to put up with me!) Poor Poor Saint Peggy

I found a noise / squeek fis for the car. There are 4 rubber / silicone Hangers for the rear exhaust and when the mufflers move, they make a noise. I took a small phillips screw driver and separated the hanger from the muffler rod and sprayed Motorcycle chain lube in there (Upper and lower) on all 4 of them and no more noise.

About the oil, once I found out that it was safe for 10,000 Break in and 15,000 miles normal oil change, I did feel safe at 7,500.

But now that the reports are in on the 2.7 Ltr Dodge Intrepid and the oil is sludging, I have moved back to 5,000 between changes. At least that is 2,000 more than I was going Cheap Insurance with plenty safety margin. You have mail!
