Offline | Another happy new owner thread! Finally picked up my new MCS on Friday...its better than I ever could have hoped for !! I've driven about 300 miles over the weekend, and just can't stop grinning....this is the most fun I've had on four wheels! We've decided that our new baby is called Mimi, and there are a few pictures of her in my gallery.I just love some of the reactions to her that I have spotted so far, including the two waves from fellow mini drivers We've just got to go on some runs now.... ! |

Offline | Don't worry, the car will exceed your expectations....it just feels so right! I also got worried sometimes while waiting, wondering if I was building it up too much in my mind. I also read a few of the negative threads on here and they scared me. But then I walked into the showroom on Friday, and the car was sitting in the customer collection bay - it looked absolutely stunning and I was smitten ! Then I had the long drive home, which was absolutely brilliant Hang in there! |

| -Mr T- | fizzy.... You have such great taste! I will be taking delivery of my MCS in about two weeks. It is CR/W MCS with chilli red dash....and has 5 star bullets! It's very close to yours and I love the wheels with the red..It's the first I've seen in pics so I reckon it's gonna look great in real life!! ![]() (Mine's also got sunroof and anthracite roof liner).... I'm in Oz by the way and the car is scheduled to arrive on the boat in Sydney tomorrow... So now I find it's got a twin brother (sister) in the Old Dart! It's been a long wait (ordered it on 23rd Dec) but it's close now.. Great to read your post and see your pics. If I PM'd my email do you think you could send me some more pics of it ..interior and exterior..especially those wheels?!! Mick Oz |

Offline | Have you seen the few extra pics I've put into my gallery? My hand was shaking too much on pickup day, so a lot of the shots were a little blurred!! I'll certainly send you some more pics, but she already needs another clean before I can take any more beauty shots We went for the chrome interior option, which really sits nicely against the body colour dash. The interior feels so special and snug with the red dash and door pods, esecially at night when it all glows under the waterfall lighting CR/W just suits the car's personality perfectly, I wouldn't normally have gone for a red car but it just looks sooooo right on the Cooper S.Last edited by fizzy : Apr 19th, 2005 at 11:12 AM. Offline | Happy times Congrads and thanks for sharing your feedback. Glad to hear that it lived up to your expectations. I am currently waiting on production and driving my friends and family crazy. but I am still buzzing from my test drive. What are your thoughts on the Whalen Shift knob? Cheers. |

Offline | Why thank you !! Definately looking forward until run in is complete. The skirts are an interesting idea, since the dealer prices are far too high.....I just don't fancy butchering the car to fit them. I want to keep it shiny and nice, at least until after the run in period ![]() As for the whalen shifter...looks very nice. Personally I don't have a problem with the stock knob, and like the positive notchy feel of the changes. But if or when I want a change, i'll know what to look for! p.s. Thanks bluezone ![]() |
