Hi folks, I have just uploaded a new video clip of the Cooper S to my web space.

The new files are:

Coopers S test drive, 4.08 MB Window Media Player Video file. Showing a DS/Black Cooper S borrowed from Snows MINI thanks. The video clip you can hear the S exhaust note as the car drives away. Total video time is 48 sec long.

Also Blip 1 & Blip 2 exhaust note...nice.

Any problems let me know.

Opps that bit is on the cutting room floor. Anyway eBrit didn't spot it when he was trashing the Cooper S after me. hehehe. Just glad it was the demo and not my car.

Great video clip Huey....and does it really sound as good as that? No wonder it turns heads. Did you risk the wife driving while you videoed (mine might have driven off with it ) or was she the "grip"?

Oh ...and does your comment "glad it was the demo" refer to the chip or me "trashing it after you" (as if I would)

eBrit...All I can say is "Dam you god of spell checkers" should have been Thrashing not Trashing.

The wife done most of the videoing, as I was having too much fun with the car. There are a few bits I've missed out, the wife stalling the car as she pulled away . The odd J turn, just kidding on the last one.

eBrit...The car sounds great as its pulling away from you.

...and me too. Actually, liked the "red line" being little lights...helpful when your as old as me
Also had a lovely little "flight formation" with a very interested TVR on the A27 (OK he could eat me if he tried.) Can't say too much..Graham of Snow's, are you reading this? You must have nightmares everytime you wave a test driver "au revoir"

did you notice if your demo had the grill on the parcel shelf to increase the noice in the cabin, as it sounds great

if it didnt thats even more to look forward to

How long did you get the car for?

I take it there was no dealer in the passenger seat

Can't answer for Huey...but having driven the same car, on the same day, from the same dealer (for the same week build, in the same colour combination, and same delivery date, and same drive away date....Huey, are we secret twins!!!!)...Snow's let me take it away for two hours , unaccompanied, with only a minor reference to "it does build up speed awfully quickly....lose licence...etc...sir". They didn't bat an eyelid when I left with two in the car and arrived back with three. Great dealers IMHO

Now would Graham and Ben be more or less stressed if they accompanied Huey, me, et al on the test drives?

Didn't see the grill in the parcel shelf. but I didn't pop the boot to have a closer look, may be eBrit had a closer look as he also drove that S .

There was no dealer with us he let us have the car for a couple of hours. But I had to make a tough decision though, whether to watch England v Denmark, or drive the Cooper S. Easy when you think about it

Not a difficult choice really...as England played Denmark not Belgium...which marks you out as a football fanatic (not) I'm not one either (though I did watch the match)...but I thought about negotiating a slot swap with you as the roads must have been "Oh, so empty"

I don't think there was a grill in the back...actually, I thought both exhaust and supercharger were very quite from inside the car with windows and sunroof shut. However, what a lovely noise with windows open and throttle blipped!

The shame of it...Belgium, Denmark oop's again.

I can't blame that misprint on the spell checker this time. You are spot on about me not being a huge footie fan, but the wife is. so I think she has just got her own back on me for making her miss the footie by not correcting me on the Belgium thing.

Also the roads during the footie were not that quiet surprisingly. But it was fun.

Jumping back up a couple of posts, am I the good twin or the evil twin.

...but, only on condition that we don't have an unseemly brawl with Graham and each other at early dawn on September 1 as to we both try to be first to drive away our respective Cooper S's

Your signature should come with a health warning. It’s giving me a headache. Nice idea but it needs to run smoother/quicker.
