Other morning, started the MCS and was idleing really roughly, then noticed that the EML and engine lights were on, turned car on and off a couple off times and the EML light went, so drove 20miles with engine light on, when i stopped and re-started no lights!

Same happened yeaterday, but the engine light was on during all of my journies. Then today (when im about to ring the dealership) no lights come at all

Anyone seen/dealt with this?????

I had this sort of problem, but mine came on after the engine cut out while driving down the motorway!!

If you leave the ignition on for 5-10 minutes this often cancels the lights, something to do with the exhaust emission sensor re-setting itself I think! Didn't work for me though as a couple of sensors and the throttle housing were goosed!!

Had the same problem myself a few weeks back. You can try and reset the ECU (disconnect the + battery terminal and touch it against the - terminal then disconnect that terminal too) You wont cause any damage. Leave it for 10 mins then connect them up again. If the problem is still there take it in (mine turned out to be a faulty sensor).
