Offline | Performance Exhaust Systems - MC Hello Everybody I am interested in updating my standard system. I have an '02 Cooper with PiperX Viper and Superchip. I am thinking Milltek Manifold & Sports Cat with Milltek backbox. Does anyone have any experience of this particular combination? Any advice on an appropriate system that isn't boomy at low speeds or on long journeys, but 'lets you know' when you get throttle happy... |

| "Buying and selling" | That sounds pretty good to me, if i was you id get just the miltek backbox first and see how loud it is then get the sports cat after if you think you can go louder. Id expect the sports cat to give an noticeable increase in sound! I have a playmini unsilenced backbox and it can get quite loud especially on a hot day! 2001 cooper (sold) ![]() 1995 Supra RZ-S TT auto in white. |

Offline | Thank you for the advice, I have opened the viper ( with a provided rolled anodised fitment - looks like a trumpet!)and done away with the cold air feed and the sound is just incredible. Milltek seems to be the way forward. |

| hey lightbulb head.... | and for those who doubt it would sound like an impreza, i know the feeling when planting foot to the floor with my k&n typhoon and playmini exhaust! it is very loud when you plant your foot!! Id say its loud enough and it will be to loud if you have a new manifold aswell! i know a few people that have new manifolds and it just takes the noise to excessive levels! but itf thats what you want then why not go for it ![]() |

Offline | We have a Pipercross Viper kit (with cold air feed), Milltek exhuast and Superchips remap on our MINI One show car and they all work very well together. The overall performance, throttle response and sound is great, the Viper kit with the Milltek exhaust is a a good combination as they don't overwhelm each other in terms of sound and performance. In fact what you have mentioned wanting and what you have is the same as one of our performance packages for the the One and Cooper, the LO2. More info can be found at http://www.lohen.co.uk/Pages/Products.html and the packages section. Nick@Lohen |
