No idea m8 but heavy footers seem to get about 230.
My fiqures include plenty of 90-100mph crusing so maybe a tiny bit more possible?

34 mpg - British gallons - averaged over about 6 or 7 tankfuls.

I get 280 miles a tank for normal city driving from my mod'd cooper; or up to 340 if it's all motorway driving.

I have to admit that aside from solving much of the coopers sluggishness, super gives me better milage and therefore balances out the 2p/ltr premium.

Is super unleaded really worth using ?

I normally just fill up as and when at differant pertol stations and dont stick to the same unleaded fuel !

Don't waste your time with brand stuff like "optimax" etc but sainsburys, Tesco etc often sell super for just a couple of pence per litre more and on a full tank I can get another 20-30 miles. Doesn't really make any real performance differnce but does make it "seem" quicker & smoother.
I hated the way my cooper ran on regular so much that after a month I changed to super & 3 years later that's still my 2 cents.
As with all forums this is "MY" experience & opinion not gospel.

I've only filled my 2006 Cooper up once, but I was extremely impressed with the consumption. I haven't looked at the MPG information, but I got something like 340 miles from a full tank. I used to get roughly 280 from my One, so I'm delighted!

With pretty much all urban driving I am yet to do less than 40 MPG. In general I get over 400 miles per tank.

I will try super unleeaded next time. I know it makes a big difference in one of my motorcycles, so worth a try.

I've often thought that I could get the magical 400 but I don't like to run the tank "THAT" low and collect all the cack at the bottom.

It's nice to know that it's possible though if needed.

Use Optimax, then you shouldn't theoretically get cack at the bottom of the tank.

Between 36 and 42 mpg, depending on use, with 15" wheels.

I ran 17's for a while and that reduced the average to between 32 and 37mpg.

Currently using Sainsbury's 97 octane; it's still cheaper than other garage's 95 octane stuff. It doesn't make any consistant difference to my Cooper's consumption, but the car seems noticably smoother when it's running on it and just a little bit quicker as well

Tigger.

Helen gets 230mpg on average in our csworks but i only manage about 190.
on the computer. we went to misano last year with spare gallon in boot just in case and ran till the computer read 4miles left, pulled in garage and put 52litres in our 50 litre tank.

[quote=Currently using Sainsbury's 97 octane.[/quote]

Was in Milton Keynes yesterday and needed some gas, was shocked to see Tesco had super !
I have never seen a Tesco PFS selling super before.

Second shock was that the stickers on the pump stated "95" on the regular stuff but "99" on the Super ! ! ! ! (highest I've ever seen)

Most likely a mistake but still, very odd.
